Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko has expressed condolences to India’s President Pratibha Devisingh Patil in connection with a tragic accident at the site of the construction of the power plant in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh.
“On behalf of the Ukrainian people and from me personally I would
like to convey deep condolences and support to the families and friends
of the victims and to wish those, who were injured in the accident
speedy recovery,” reads Yuschenko’s letter posted on his official Web
site.
At least 45 workers died after a chimney under construction at a power plant in Chhattisgarh collapsed on September 23.
