Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko has once again confirmed that Ukraine will sign the Association Agreement with the European Union in a few months.
“Several months have left before the signing of this agreement,” the president told representatives of the Ukrainian Diaspora participating in the arts festival entitled “Let’s come together” in Kyiv on Friday.
This is one of the most powerful agreements, which the EU has ever signed, Yuschenko believes.
He reminded that this agreement would include a clause about a free trade zone between Ukraine and the European Union without exemptions and restrictions.
“This agreement will for the first time have a chapter on security, which will confirm the recognition of the Ukrainian borders, territorial integrity and our sovereignty,” the president said.
Yuschenko stressed that the Association Agreement together with other agreements, Ukraine is preparing to sign with the EU “are our integration.” “We are integrating… We are returning to Europe,” he said.
