Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko has said a meeting with Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev in Chisinau is impossible due to Moscow's position.

“Currently this meeting in Chisinau is impossible due to the position of the Russian side,” the Ukrainian president said.

At the same time, Yushchenko said that Ukraine is ready to hold a dialogue with the Russian Federation.

Yushchenko said that a few months ago he sent to the Russian president a proposal to meet in Chisinau.

According to the Ukrainian president, the problem of relationships with Russia is the problem of different outlooks.

Only in time will “a political beau monde” appear, which will
respect the national sovereignty of a neighboring state, Yushchenko said.
