Education should become a state policy priority, Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko has said.
“Both the state and politicians have to view education as a national
priority all the time,” Yushchenko said at an award giving ceremony on
the Education Worker’s Day in Kyiv on Friday.
“We will resolve all of the issues when we think about education as a priority,” the head of state said.
According to Yushchenko, the country will be successful if its citizens have good world outlook, which starts forming in school.
Yushchenko said that in 2004, UAH 18 billion was allocated on education, and today the indicator is UAH 66 billion,
