Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko, defeated in Sunday's election, said onJan. 20the two rivals battling in a Feb. 7 runoff vote do not represent European values and there is nothing to choose between them.
"For the two candidates … national, European and democratic values remain in essence alien, incomprehensible and very distant. I do not see any big difference between the two rivals," Yushchenko told journalists on Jan. 20.
Opposition leader Victor Yanukovych will face Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko in the second round of voting on Feb. 7.
