Owners of Ukrainian government debt have had a burst of optimism ahead of an IMF meeting on March 11 where a preliminary agreement over a $17.5bn bailout for the beleaguered country is expected to be approved.

While prices of Ukrainian bonds remain depressed, they have rallied across the duration curve, with bonds maturing in 2017 doing the best, up 2.2 cents to 47.4 cents on the dollar.
