About Hr 16 million is to be earmarked by Ukraine's government for compensating state regional administrations' costs of the accommodation of internally displaced persons (IDPs).

“Hr 15.932 million will be given to local state administrations to finance IDPs’ accommodation at holiday centers, social welfare facilities, vacation houses,” head of the state service for emergency situations Serhiy Bochkovsky said at a press conference in Kyiv on Nov. 10.

The government is to decide on the allocation of the funds on Nov. 10, he added.

Ukrainian Social Policy Minister Liudmyla Denisova in turn announced at the press conference that 169,300 internally displaced families had been accommodated by Nov. 7, 2014, which numbers 452,952 persons.
