Ukraine’s president Petro Poroshenko will decide on June 30 whether to extend his forces' unilateral cease-fire in the country's restive east, as the shooting death of a journalist underlined ongoing tensions and sporadic violence that could threaten the peace process.
National security spokesman Andriy Lysenko said Petro Poroshenko would announce whether the laying down of arms would be prolonged ahead of the expiration of the current cease-fire at 10 p.m. local time (3 p.m. ET).
