Donetsk - All trucks carrying humanitarian aid to Luhansk and Donetsk have crossed the Russian border, deputy head of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry's National Crisis Management Center Oleg Voronov said.

“A convoy comprising 20 trucks divided into two parts. After they were cleared by the customs, ten trucks headed for Donetsk and the same number for Luhansk,” he said.

Consistent with the requests of regional authorities, the convoy is carrying 100 tonnes of medicines and fuel which Donetsk and Luhansk need in the first turn.

This is the sixth humanitarian aid convoy sent to residents of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics. More than a hundred trucks delivered over 1,000 tonnes of food, fuel, construction materials and medicines to Donetsk and Luhansk on Nov. 2. About a hundred trucks brought approximately 1,000 tonnes of similar cargos to Donetsk and Luhansk on Oct. 31.

Prior to that, three convoys transported about 6,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Donbas.
