Rostov-on-Don -- The next humanitarian convoy to southeastern Ukraine is expected to leave Russia through the Rostov region before the end of this year, Igor Oder, the head of the Southern Regional Center of the Emergency Situations Ministry, said on Dec. 3.

“The humanitarian cargo will include New Years presents for children,” Oder told a press conference in the Interfax press center in Rostov-on-Don.

Oder said Emergency Situations Ministry officials were actively involved in providing assistance to people who have left Ukraine in 2014. Over 150 temporary accommodation faculties for citizens of Ukraine were deployed in the Southern Federal District.

According to earlier reports, eight humanitarian convoys have brought almost 11,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Donbas since August.
