Ukrainian military unit rotation of units involved in anti-terrorist operations is being continued, ATO spokesman Andriy Lysenko has stated.

“Artillery men, who during two months have been executing combat missions near Donetsk airport, have returned to Zaporizhia on Christmas,” he said at a briefing in Kyiv.

According to Lysenko, soldiers from the central and territorial units of the National Guard, who were guarding residents of Mariupol, have returned to their home bases.

“Some military men from the Sokol special unit, who last month carried out important and risky tasks related to the disposal of subversive groups, withdrawing arms and explosives from illicit trafficking, detention of criminals, returned from the ATO area,” the spokesman said.
