Militants in the self-proclaimed republics breached the "quiet day" repeatedly throughout Dec. 9, according to the press center of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in eastern Ukraine.

Throughout the day militants “launched 13 attacks on the ATO forces positions
and populated areas around Luhansk, Donetsk and Debaltseve,” the statement
said.

The Ukrainian army did not fire back, the press center said.

It added that two attacks on a new terminal at Donetsk Airport were
registered from the side of Spartak, “an area controlled by terrorists.”

“We have just received a report about hostile drones re-appearing around
Mariupol,” the statement said.
