The ruble strengthened, trimming its weekly loss, as companies prepared to pay the bulk of their monthly taxes next week. The currency gained 0.1 percent to 43.4535 against the central bank's dollar-euro basket at 1.17 p.m. in Moscow, paring its fall in the week to 1.5 percent. Ten-year ruble bonds were little changed with the yield at 9.52 percent.
