You're reading: CEC approves election of first two people’s deputies in single-seat electoral districts

The Central Election Commission has accepted Yukhym Zviahilsky and Yuriy Shapovalov as people's deputies at the early parliamentary elections 2014.

 According to the CEC report on Nov. 3, Zviahilsky was elected as people’s deputy in the constituency No. 45 (Donetsk). He enjoyed support of 1,454 voters (72.73 percent).

Shapovalov was elected in the electoral district No. 146 (Kremenchuk, Poltava region). A total of 17,166 voters supported his candidacy (22.67 percent).

They will be announced as the people’s deputies of the seventh convocation.

In general 198 people’s deputies have been elected in the majority constituencies during the parliamentary elections on Oct. 26.
