Simferopol - The Crimean authorities will cooperate with the administrations of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics formed in the Nov. 2 elections, Crimean State Council Speaker Vladimir Konstantinov said.
“We will cooperate at the regional level and we will assist in the republics’ restoration in this complex period at the parliamentary level,” Konstantinov said, responding to a question in Simferopol on Nov. 4.
Crimean Republic Head Sergei Aksenov added that the elections in the Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics were lawful.
“In my opinion, more than 1.5 million voters in Donetsk are more than enough to make this ballot absolutely legal. The election has fully established them [the self-proclaimed republics] in the legal field; now they are truly independent entities which have the right to develop their policy by themselves,” Aksenov said.
