Moscow - The self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) is drawing up a new peace protocol and hopes that a fresh round of consultations will be held in Minsk in about two weeks.
“The Contact Group could hold a new meeting in Minsk in approximately 10-14 days,” Denys Pushylin, a leader of the “Donetsk Republic” organization representing the DPR at the Contact Group negotiations, told.
“We are working on a new protocol. We will focus on stricter control over the fulfillment of each of its provisions,” Pushylin said.
In his opinion, “Kyiv has de facto disavowed the deal made in Minsk previously.”
“We have been witnessing the repeal of the Donbas special status law, the ongoing bombardments and Kyiv’s failure to honor other provisions of the earlier protocol. So, Kyiv has actually disavowed every agreement reached in Minsk previously,” Pushylin said.
