DONETSK - A spokesperson for a hospital in Donetsk said Ukrainian artillery again pounded residential districts in the city on Saturday, and that three civilians had been injured, while witnesses said three people had been killed in the attack.

‘Three local residents have been admitted to our hospital after the bombardment. All of them have shrapnel wounds, one of them is in a severe condition, and the condition of one more patient is assessed as critical,’ the spokesperson told reporters.

Witnesses said three civilians had been killed on the spot during the bombardment.

Interfax has been unable to obtain confirmation or denial from other sources, but earlier the City Council had said in a statement that the situation remained unquiet on Saturday, and that ‘in many of the districts local people say they can hear artillery fire and explosions.’
