There are currently no grounds to lift sanctions against Russia, Dutch Foreign Minister Bert Koenders has said.
He said at a joint press conference with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin in Kyiv on Nov. 8 that at this point, because of the non-fulfillment of the Minsk agreements, there was no reason to remove sanctions against Russia.
He said that the Netherlands was concerned about the holding of the so-called “elections” in the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics on Nov. 2.
When asked about the possible extension of sanctions against Russia, Koenders said that all options were left open.
