A troop of 400 Russian sailors have arrived in France to begin training on two helicopter assault ships that Paris has agreed to sell to Moscow despite US calls to halt the sale in response the crisis in Ukraine.

Financial Times: Russian sailors arrive for training on French-built assault ships

The Vladivostok warship is one of the two navy ships ordered to France by the Russian army.
