Donetsk - Hostilities have disrupted water supply to Krasnoarmiysk, the Donetsk region state administration said on Jan. 26, referring to a report of the Water of Donbas company.

The hostilities damaged electric power lines connected to a pumping station of South Donbas water mains. “DTEK Donetskoblenergo is preparing to start repairs. [Company] workers are set to visit the damaged sections on Jan. 28,” the report said.

“Boiler houses which have no water reservoirs of their own will have to be shut down amid the absence of water supply,” the administration pointed out.

Regional authorities added that schools and kindergartens would have to suspend their operation if temperatures dropped to minus 15-16 degrees Celsius.

The administration said though that hospitals of Krasnoarmiysk and Rodynske would keep on working. They have their own boiler houses and will be supplied with sufficient amounts of clean water.
