Ukraine has agreed with Lithuania on the treatment of up to 100 soldiers and civilians per year in Lithuania.

The agreement was reached during the visit of Ukraine’s Minister of the Cabinet Hanna Onyschenko and other government officials to Druskininkai, where Ukrainian soldiers are being treated.

“The Ukrainian government, despite the hard times, does everything possible to help Ukrainian soldiers with treatment, rehabilitation and social security in time. [We] have already agreed with Lithuania on increasing the number of people to 100 people a year (servicemen and civilians) that will be treated and rehabilitated in Lithuania,” the Cabinet of Ministers’ press service reported on Feb. 7.

According to the press service, four to six Ukrainian servicemen with wounds of varying severity arrive in Druskininkai every month. They are provided with medical treatment, rehabilitation services and psychological support.
