Luhansk - The Ukrainian army and the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) militants have agreed on a ceasefire starting on Dec. 5 and the withdrawal of heavy armaments from the line of contact to begin on Dec. 6, LPR head Igor Plotnitsky said.

“It was agreed at negotiations on Nov. 29 to cease [fire] on Dec. 5 and to start the withdrawal of heavy hardware on Dec. 6,” Plotnitsky told Interfax on Tuesday, Dec. 2.
