Berlin - The European Union is considering the possibility of imposing new sanctions on some individuals in Russia following the recent elections in eastern Ukraine, which the EU considers illegitimate, but no new economic sanctions against Russia are being planned at the moment, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said at a press conference in Brussels on Tuesday, Nov. 11.
