You're reading: Militants shell Popasna town, preliminary one civilian killed

On Saturday morning, Nov. 29, at 10 a.m., the militants of the self-declared Donetsk People's Republic shelled the town of Popasna in Luhansk region with Grad multiple rocket launchers, head of Luhansk regional state administration Hennadiy Moskal has reported.

“In general 10 shootings have been made, projectiles bombed in the area of Cheremushly micro-district within a radius of 200 meters. A facade of the kindergarten was damaged, windows in schools and multi-storey building were knocked out, street gas pipeline was broken, boiler room in the school was cut off. Under the preliminary reports, one civilian was killed,” reads a report posted on the Moskal’s website on Saturday, Nov. 29.

He earlier reported that mortar fire by militants covered the southern outskirt of Stanytsia Luhanska.

The militants fired in the area of the communities of Triokhizbenka, Vilkhove, Hirske, Krymske, Heyivka, Makarove, Schastia, Stanytsia Luhanska, Sokilnyky, Avdiyivka, Pisky, Mykolaiyvka, Opytne, Novobakmutivka, and Tonenke, the military operation’s press center writes on Facebook page early on Saturday.
