CHISINAU - Moldova doesn't recognize the elections to government agencies of the so-called Donetsk and Luhansk Republics, the Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration said on Nov. 4.
The so-called elections held in some areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine on Nov. 2 have provoked further escalations in eastern Ukraine. Moldovan authorities consider these ‘elections’ illegal, because they contradict Ukrainian laws and the agreements reached recently in Minsk. The ‘elections’ significantly damage the process of peaceful settlement of the conflict in Donbas, reads the statement by the Moldovan Foreign Ministry.
