After the downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 over eastern Ukraine, Western governments put in place sanctions against Russia. President Vladimir Putin responded by introducing a ban on food imports from those countries - the United States, Canada, Australia, Norway, and the twenty-eight members of the European Union.
