The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) as of 2:00 p.m. Kyiv time on Nov. 7 devalued the official forex rate of the hryvnia against the US dollar by almost 51 kopecks, to Hr 14.470660 per US dollar, having updated a record low.
The previous minimum was fixed the day before at Hr 13.955672 per US dollar.
The NBU said that the weighted average rate on the interbank forex market on Nov. 7 by 1:30 a.m. Kyiv time stood at Hr 14.4762 per US dollar, whereas it was Hr 13.8815 per US dollar when trading closed on Thursday.
The NBU also reported that the volume of the market by the said time on Friday was $21.09 million, whereas it was $19.36 million the day before.
Market operators told that foreign currency on the interbank forex market at midday on Nov. 7 was traded for more than Hr 15 per U.S. dollar.
