Odesa - The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (OSCE SMM) to Ukraine hopes for the resumption of the Minsk talks on resolving the crisis in east Ukraine and for the positive outcome of these talks, OSCE SMM Chief Monitor Ertugrul Apakan has said.

“The Minsk talks should take place. Unfortunately, it’s not in my competence to determine the date of the talks, but I know that talks about this are ongoing, there are plans and process is advancing,” he said at a briefing in Odesa on Thursday, Dec. 11.

He stressed the importance of the Minsk talks and noted that today he was unaware of any obstacles that might hinder the holding of such a meeting.
