DONETSK - Alexander Hug, deputy head of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Donbas, said the number of members of the mission has almost doubled.
The mission has now been increased to 500 people, of which 350 will work in Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, Hug told reporters.
Hug said OSCE observers have two main tasks: to monitor the situation in Donbas and promote a peaceful solution to the conflict.
Hug also said OSCE specialists are not involved in the investigation into the Malaysian Boeing crash in Donbas, which is conducted by Dutch specialists.
