The situation on and near the Donetsk airport has recently been calm, the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) has reported.
The OSCE SMM said in a report issued on June 18 evening that the situation on and near the Donetsk airport remained relatively calm and the general situation in the Luhansk region was tense as of 7:30 p.m. on June 17.
At the same time, SMM monitors have registered 19 explosions of an unidentified origin in their observation point on the Donetsk central Railway Station (controlled by the Donetsk People’s Republic).
As to the Luhansk region, the monitors have registered over 120 explosions in Slovianoserbsk (controlled by the Luhansk People’s Republic).
The report also said an OSCE SMM drone plane came under fire in the Donetsk People’s Republic-controlled village of Parus from a surface-to-air missile system installed on a military road vehicle. The drone plane also came under fire from several rifles, which made it go into an emergency mode, the report says.
