You're reading: OSCE/ODIHR human rights assessment mission is to visit Ukraine

OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights Assessment Mission will pay a visit to Kyiv in coming weeks to study a situation in the country.

A relative agreement has been reached during Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Valeria Lutkovska’s trip to Warsaw to take part in the annual OSCE ODIHR meeting to discuss how its member states stick to the obligations in human rights dimension.

As the ombudsman’s office reported on Oct. 6, the office of the Ukrainian ombudsperson will organize a meeting between the representatives of the Assessment Mission with the representatives of civil society institutions, who closely cooperate with the Ukrainian ombudsperson’s office.

On the result of the meeting, long-term projects on the development and strengthening of the role of the civil society institutions is expected.
