More than 100 Ukrainian military have been killed and about 600 injured since the moment the ceasefire was declared in the antiterrorist operation area in eastern Ukraine on Sept. 5, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Yevhen Perebyinis said.
While the intensity of the armed conflict has declined, militants are continuing to shell Ukrainian government forces and conduct offensive operations, he said.
“As a result of this, more than 100 Ukrainian servicemen have been killed and about 600 injured over the past two months,” Perebyinis said at a news conference on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
A trilateral contact group for Ukraine signed a ceasefire protocol at a session in Minsk on Sept. 5.
