New York - NATO's claims that it allegedly observed Russian combat troops moving across the Russian-Ukrainian border have not been supported by any evidence, Russia's Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Alexander Pankin, has said.

“NATO’s vocal allegations about some virtual movements of columns of armored hardware and troops from Russian territory have caused quite a stir in Western capitals. But no real evidence or confirmation has been provided. That is why this is just empty talk and a routine propagandist fake,” he said at the UN Security Council’s emergency meeting addressing the situation in Ukraine on Nov. 13.
