Moscow - Russian President Vladimir Putin and his U.S. counterpart Barack Obama do not plan to have bilateral meetings either at the APEC summit in Beijing or at the G20 summit in Brisbane, Australia, but informal communication on the sidelines of these events is not being ruled out, the Kremlin has said.

“A separate official meeting between Putin and Obama has not been planned as of yet but during large international events of this kind, the chiefs of state regularly have opportunities for informal communication on the summit sidelines,” Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov told.

He said informal communication between the Russian and U.S. presidents on the APEC and G20 summit sidelines had not been ruled out.

Beijing will host the APEC summit on Nov. 10-11 and the G20 summit will take place in Brisbane on Nov. 15-16.
