Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has urged Russia to bring back the situation with its humanitarian convoy to the area of international law.

During the meeting with Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius on Aug. 22, Poroshenko said that he had ordered Ukrainian Foreign Minsiter Pavlo Klimkin and Presidential Administration Head Borys Lozhkin to seek contact with their Russian colleagues and “inform [the Russians] of our anxiety and propose [that they] return the situation to within the bounds of international law”, the president’s spokesman said.
