Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko doesn't rule out that the control over checkpoints and the economic regime in eastern Ukraine could be tightened.
“I do not rule out that as the result of today’s decision by the NSDC, there will be significant strengthening of control at the checkpoints with the restriction of movement of those who sends in reconnaissance and sabotage groups. I do not rule out that we will have to toughen the economic regime,” he said opening a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council in Kyiv on Nov. 4.
The president said that Ukraine was already suffering losses because of not getting paid for the supply of gas and electricity to the country’s east.
