You're reading: Poroshenko promises to sign laws on special areas of Donbas and amnesty as soon as receives them

KHARKIV - Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has promised to sign the law on the introduction of a special order of self-governance in some districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions and the amnesty law as soon as they are submitted to the presidential administration.

‘They will be signed immediately as soon as the presidential administration receives the documents,’ he said at a briefing in Kyiv.

According to the president, at present the laws dated September 16 are in the regulation committee of the parliament.

‘We are waiting for them in the presidential administration,’ Poroshenko said.

As reported, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine at a closed session on September 16 adopted the presidential law on the introduction of a special order of self-governance in some districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions for a period of three years, as well as that on holding early local elections in these regions on December 7 this year.
