You're reading: Putin instructs government to integrate Crimean seaports into Russia transport system

MOSCOW - Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed the government to ensure the integration of seaports of the Crimean Federal District into Russia's transport system, taking into account plans of building new seaports in the Azov and Black Seas and Defense Ministry facilities and also environmental and social factors.

The president also instructed the government to give priority to the construction of railroad and automobile access routes toward a multifunctional transport passage across the Kerch Strait, bearing in mind that its construction should be completed by the end of 2018, according to presidential instructions published on the Kremlin website.
