Budapest - The lives of the Ukrainian servicemen entrapped in Debaltseve must be saved so as not to further worsen relations between Kyiv and Donbas, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
“It’s more or less quiet along the entire line of contact now. It’s necessary to end the problem related to the encircled forces. Our common goal is to save the lives of the people who have found themselves in this pocket, so that this blister not further worsen relations between the official authorities and the Donbas militia,” Putin said at a press conference in Budapest on Feb. 18.
