Russia continues sending military equipment and fighters from Russia to Ukrainian territory temporarily controlled by militants, National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) spokesman Andriy Lysenko has said.

“The presence of Russian troops is not even hidden,” he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Nov. 3.

He said that on Nov. 2, at a checkpoint near the settlement of Pisky (Donetsk Oblast), Ukrainian servicemen stopped a VAZ car without number plates carrying two Russian citizens who found to be members of the Russian Armed Forces. When inspecting the vehicle and checking the documents of these citizens, they found military IDs of Russian Armed Forces servicemen. The detainees were transferred to SBU employees.

According to the NSDC, no cases of aerial reconnaissance on the border and in the areas controlled by Ukraine have been recorded in the past 24 hours. At the same time, over the past week border guards recorded the use of 25 drones of the enemy.

In addition, the use by the Russian Armed Forces of three Su-24 reconnaissance aircraft over the Sea of Azov and the Kerch Strait has been recorded in the past 24 hours. A Russian Il-20 was also used for electronic reconnaissance over the Black Sea and near Snake Island. According to Lysenko, they were on international territory and did not enter Ukraine’s airspace.
