Russia plans to put together the fourth humanitarian aid convoy to south-eastern Ukraine in the near future, taking into account the approaching cold weather, Yury Vorobyov, a deputy chair of the Russian Federation Council and head of a committee for public support of the people in south-eastern Ukraine, said at a committee meeting on Thursday, Oct. 2.
“I hope it will be formed in the near future. Taking into account the coming winter, its contents will be adjusted accordingly,” Vorobyov said.
Russian Deputy Emergency Situations Minister Vladimir Artamonov said the humanitarian cargo will include equipment for restoring city infrastructure damaged during combat actions.
“There will be equipment necessary for infrastructure restoration there: preparations for winter are under way,” Artamonov said.
The fourth humanitarian convoy is being put together “with the Russian Foreign Ministry’s coordination,” he said.
No exact dates for forming the fourth humanitarian convoy and sending it to south-eastern Ukraine were announced during the committee meeting.
