You're reading: Russia stops Ukrainian tinned food bound for Kazakhstan

Bryansk – Officers from the Russian agricultural watchdog (Rosselkhoznadzor) in the Bryansk and Smolensk regions have returned 66 tonnes of tinned fish to Ukraine, the agency said on Feb. 6.

The goods made the Ukrainian supplier VINTAR based in Vinnytsia arrived at the Bryansk-Lgovsky railway checkpoint on Feb. 6.

“Around 66 tonnes of goods carried by railcar bound for Kazakhstan were accompanied by a veterinary certificate issued by the Ukrainian state veterinary service. An inspection of the documents revealed that the veterinary certificate does not contain information confirming the safety of the product,” the statement said.

The goods have been returned to the sender.
