Moscow - A Russian 'humanitarian aid' convoy which allegedly delivered 'humanitarian cargoes' to Donetsk, is returning to the Rostov region, said Oleg Voronov, deputy head of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry's National Crisis Management Center.

“The cargo was unloaded in Donetsk and the convoy is now on its way to the Russian border,” he told Interfax on Feb. 8.

Voronov claimed that over 100 motor vehicles had delivered more than 1,100 tonnes of humanitarian aid, including food, construction materials and first necessity goods, to Donetsk.

Another column of 70 motor vehicles had delivered over 700,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Luhansk, he said.
