Moscow – Russian President Vladimir Putin, French President Francois Hollande and German Chancellor Angela Merkel are expected to meet in Moscow on Friday to discuss ways to end the civil war in Ukraine as soon as possible.

“I confirm that, indeed, tomorrow negotiations are expected to be held between Putin, Merkel and Hollande. During them, the heads of these three states will discuss what specific steps can be taken by the three states in order to help secure the earliest possible end to the civil war in the south-east of Ukraine, which has significantly escalated in recent days, leading to numerous casualties,” the Russian president’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov has said.
