The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has said it, in cooperation with the State Service for Financial Monitoring of Ukraine to combat the financing of terrorism, has revealed and frozen the bank accounts of ten leaders of the terrorist organizations of the so-called 'Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics'.

“In particular, transactions with accounts belonging to the self-declared ‘ministers’ and ‘chairmen of people’s councils’ of the terrorists have been frozen. Law enforcement agencies revealed over UAH 14 million in the accounts of nine national financial establishments of the so-called ‘chairman of council of ministers’, ‘state security minister’, ‘transport minister’, ‘energy and coal industry minister’, and other terrorist pretender officials,” reads a report issued by the SBU press centre on May 20.
