You're reading: State Border Guard Service: 17 out of 30 checkpoint working on Ukrainian-Russian border

Of the 30 checkpoints in Luhansk and Donetsk regions in eastern Ukraine, only 17 are operational, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine has reported.

“There are currently 17 operational checkpoints out of the 30 in
Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Control and processing procedures aren’t
being carried out at 13 checkpoints,” State Border Guard Service’s press
service said on July 18.

The agency reported that traffic had been stopped at nine checkpoints
due to a decree by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. These include
five international checkpoints – Izvaryne, Chervona Mohyla,
Chervonopartyzansk, Marynivka and Dovzhanske, as well as four local
checkpoints – Severny, Krasnodarsky-Nyzhniy Shvyriv,
Krasnodarsky-Donetsk, and Novobryvtsi.
