Yekaterinburg - German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier has expressed hope that the highest point of military confrontation in Ukraine has passed.
“I hope that we have overcome the most serious aggravation of the military
confrontation in Ukraine and I hope that this forecast will prove right in
several days or weeks, and here we must act in that direction,” he said at a
meeting with the alumni of the Urals Federal University in Yekaterinburg on Dec. 9.
“Our advantage is that we have not witnessed the war yet. And our
responsibility is not to condone things and developments that would lead to what
could already be a hot, not cold, war. I think we will manage, as long as there
is the good will on both sides,” Steinmeier added.
