Three civilians sustained shrapnel wounds in artillery attacks, the official website of the city mayor and the city council has reported. 

“The situation in Donetsk was troubled as of 6 p.m. Artillery salvos and explosions were heard in the Kyivsky, Kirovsky, Leninsky, and Petrovsky districts and the city of Mospyne. Three people were wounded in artillery attacks on Thursday afternoon: one person in the Kyivsky district and two people in the Kirovsky district,” the report, which was released on Aug. 21, says.

The city’s 378 transformer substations remained without power on Aug. 21 due to the fighting. Energy services continue working to restore power supply when they can, working round the clock.

By the evening of August 21, repair teams from the company DonetskMiskGaz had fixed gas pipelines and restored gas supply to some residents of the Kyivsky and Kuibushevsky districts.
