The Ukrainian Armed Forces are ready to launch the process of pulling back weapons under 100mm in caliber from the contact line in Donbas, speaker of the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff Vladyslav Selezniov told Interfax-Ukraine on Sept. 30.

“Certainly, with the aim to lower the level of tension in the east of our country we are ready to pull back the weapons with the parity observed in this process. For this procedure to be transparent we appeal to the third party of the negotiating process in Minsk – the OSCE special monitoring mission,” he said in a commentary to Interfax-Ukraine on Sept. 30.

“The role of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in this respect is quite accurate and clear-cut – we are receiving the relevant command and are fulfilling it. This mechanism was practiced back in the process of pulling back the weapons over 100mm in caliber,” Selezniov said.
