Brussels -- Ukraine's Ambassador to the European Union Kostiantyn Yeliseyev has informed EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini about the presence of Russian troops in Ukraine.

“This was done in the context of the efforts taken by the Ukrainian side to mobilize EU support in terms of ensuring the fulfillment by Moscow of its commitments to de-escalate the situation in Donbas,” Ukraine’s Mission to the EU reported on Nov. 7.

The documents sent to the EU include information on the composition of the Russian armed forces that illegally invaded Ukraine, as well as on Russian military buildup.
